I think that the maker of the film wants to tell us that too much factory farming is wrong and should be fixed. In the movie "matrix" the world we live in was wrong place and neo tried to save the world. factory farming has been popularized since the industry revolution and it covers the house farming like the matrix covers real world so that people can't see the truth.
